Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. She has been recognized by the media and for her television performance since the 1980s. The awards she has won are the two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She was born and grew up at home in New York New York. Bassett relocated with her sister to St. Petersburg Florida at five years old to be near their mother, who was separated from their dad. Bassett was in high school when watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream of being an actor had come true. Yale University New Haven Connecticut granted her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and an honorary doctorate (1983), from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale, and in 1997 they tied the knot. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies, 1980. Masters in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working as one of the main roles in the film Ramonda in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
